Terms of use
The deal, in plain words. Using StintLab means you accept it.
What this is
StintLab is a free strategy planner for endurance racing in Le Mans Ultimate. It works out fuel, energy, tires and stint times from numbers you give it, and shows live telemetry from an optional companion app you run alongside the game.
It’s a hobby project. Not a business. No staff, no support contract, no service level. It isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Motorsport Games, Studio 397, Le Mans Ultimate, the ACO or the FIA World Endurance Championship. All trademarks belong to their owners.
No warranty
StintLab is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. It may be unavailable, lose data, produce wrong results or stop existing.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the person running StintLab is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of it, including lost races, lost plans, lost data or lost time. Where the law doesn’t permit that, liability is limited to the amount you have paid to use StintLab, which is nothing.
Your account
You don’t need one. If you make one it’s through Discord, and you’re responsible for what happens under it. Don’t share your session.
You can delete your account at any time from the account menu. Accounts that break the rules below may be removed without notice. Removals aren’t appealable.
Rooms and room codes
A room code is the only thing protecting a room. Whoever has it can open the plan and watch the live telemetry. That’s deliberate, since it lets you send a code to a teammate without either of you needing accounts, but it means you should share a code as carefully as you’d share a password.
Rooms nobody has touched for 60 days are deleted. A room saved to your account is kept until you remove it. Don’t treat StintLab as the only copy of anything you care about. Export or screenshot a plan you need to keep.
Using the numbers
StintLab projects forward from the rates you enter and the laps it measures. Track conditions, safety cars, weather and traffic all change what actually happens, so treat a plan as a working estimate and adjust it as the race develops.
Strategy calls are yours to make. StintLab is not liable for the result of a race.
Using it reasonably
Don’t:
- attack the service, or try to reach rooms, accounts or data that aren’t yours;
- hammer the API, scrape the site or run automated load against it. There’s one small server and everyone shares it;
- use it to harass anyone, or put anything illegal, abusive or private to somebody else into a room, a roster, a team name or a bug report;
- pass StintLab off as your own, or resell access to it.
What you put in stays yours: plans, names, rates, messages. You give permission to store and display it as needed to run the thing, and nothing beyond that.
The companion app
The companion is a Windows program that reads telemetry the game publishes and posts it to your room. Run it at your own risk, and only get it from this site. It reads the game’s shared memory and doesn’t modify the game. Whether running it is allowed in a particular league or event is between you and the organizers.
Buy me a coffee
Donations are gifts, not purchases. Giving money buys no features, no priority, no support obligation and no guarantee the site keeps running. Nothing is behind a paywall and nothing is planned to be.
Payments are handled by Buy Me a Coffee under their terms. StintLab never sees your payment details. Refund requests go to them, because the money doesn’t arrive here.
It can change or stop
Features may change or be removed, and the whole service may shut down, at any time and without notice. Changes get written up in What’s new. If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top moves, and carrying on using the site after that counts as accepting it.
Privacy
What’s stored and what isn’t is on the Privacy page, which forms part of these terms.
Contact
Questions about any of this, or about your data, go to the StintLab Discord. It reaches a person.
